Community Scholarships

UPDATE - March 17The application process for CAHR 2008 Community Scholarships is closed as of March 14.

All applicants will be notified by email or fax of the results of their application by March 26, 2008.

 

Community Scholarships

Are you a person living with or affected by HIV/AIDS, or do you work or volunteer in the HIV/AIDS community? Attending the CAHR 2008 Conference is an opportunity to learn about the latest developments in, and evidence presented from current HIV research, and share your lived experience.

A limited number of full scholarships, partial scholarships & conference registration scholarships are available. Five individuals from across Canada will receive financial assistance to attend and twenty Greater Montreal residents will receive a complimentary conference registration.

A special reduced registration rate of $50 is offered to People Living with HIV/AIDS.

CAS and CAHR announce additional community scholarship program for CAS affiliated groups

CAS and CAHR are pleased to announce up to 15 additional full scholarships for the 17th Annual Canadian Conference of HIV/AIDS Research – CAHR 2008 (April 24 to 27, 2008) in Montreal. These additional scholarships will be awarded through the CAHR Scholarship Process.

These additional scholarships are designated for volunteers and employees of member and associate member organizations of the Canadian AIDS Society. CAS organizations will receive priority consideration in the application review process for these particular scholarships.

IMPORTANT. In order to qualify for a CAS community scholarship, please complete the CAHR scholarship application and attach a short letter identifying your organization and explaining your organization’s affiliation with CAS.

Note that this process will prioritize you to be considered for a CAS/CAHR Scholarship prior to being added to the regular CAHR Community Scholarship Program. Only one scholarship per applicant will be awarded. The criteria and process set out for all CAHR Community Scholarship will govern this process.

No extensions allowed after the March 14 deadline.
