The 23rd Scientific Meeting of the International Society of Hypertension was held to facilitate the exchange of experiences about obstacles and successful methods to tackle the epidemic of cardiovascular diseases. People from around the world came to Vancouver to participate in the Meeting, that included a full, accredited scientific program with on- and off-site symposia, plenary sessions, how to sessions, debates, investigator initiated symposium, poster sessions, sponsored symposia, as well as specialty sessions hosted by various organizations, plus a social program that showcased Vancouver during the Olympic year.
