During the summer, visitors sightsee and hike on Whistler Mountain, exploring alpine meadows bursting with colourful wildflowers, while thousands more ski and snowboard on Blackcomb’s Horstman Glacier. The Whistler Mountain Bike Park is now widely regarded as the premier mountain bike park in the world. Opened in 1999, the Bike Park features more than 45 trails from beginner to intermediate and advanced, three skills centres and two jump park areas. And the mountains won’t leave you short of breath, either. Whistler’s base elevation starts at just over 600 metres / 2,000 feet, with a peak elevation ending at 2,182 metres / 7,160 feet, so you can enjoy your vacation without feeling winded.
