The World Rose Festival will be a huge event for Vancouver, taking the place of the VanDusen Flower & Garden Show (which welcomed, at its peak, about 15,000 people through its gates) and reminiscent of the overwhelmingly successful 1999 World Orchid Exposition, which brought 17,000 visitors through the Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre. These two events put home gardens and orchids on the consumer map. We are going to put the Rose there too.
