Please carefully review the page below for details on how to submit your Presentation, as well as information about Audio-Visual and Meeting Room Specifications. If you have not already registered or booked your accommodations for the Meeting, please see Registration and Hotel Information.

Presentation Submission Requirements

The official language of ISH 2010 is English, and the supported presentation platform is Microsoft PowerPoint for Windows. It is ISH 2010 policy that in order to avoid technical difficulties affecting a presentation, all presentations must be submitted in advance, so that they may be pre-loaded and pre-tested prior to the session. In order to facilitate the smooth flow of PowerPoint presentations during the meeting, the Executive Organizing Committee requests that you complete each of the following:

FTP Presentation Submission Site
The FTP Presentation Submission Site is now closed. Please submit via yousendit.com (see below).

Alternative Submission via yousendit.com
If you are having difficulties with accessing the FTP server, we suggest using the website www.yousendit.com to send your file to be uploaded directly to the ftp server for you. Simply follow the instructions on the Home page and email it to the ISH Technical Support address (ish2010@proshow.com).

Please remember to include the following information in the message body:
- Presenter's name
- Presentation date & time
- Presentation room

If you have any further questions, please let the ISH 2010 Technical Team know at ish2010@proshow.com.


Speaker Centre

Review your presentation the day prior to your presentation in the Speaker Centre (see details below). An Audio-Visual technician will be available to help you review your presentation and make any technical adjustments, if required.

Backup Files
Bring an additional copy of your presentation on CD or memory stick to the Meeting, as a backup. ***If necessary, be sure to include any corresponding video files.***

If you are working with presentation software other than PowerPoint, please save your presentation as a Microsoft Windows PowerPoint compatible file (filename ends with .PPT). Computers in Meeting Rooms WILL NOT support Mac file formats or any presentation software other than Windows PowerPoint.

Speaker Centre & Lounge

It is ISH 2010 policy that in order to avoid technical difficulties affecting a presentation and to ensure a smooth transition during sessions, all presentations must be pre-loaded and pre-tested 24 hours prior to the session.


HOURS OF OPERATION

The Speaker Centre will be open from Sunday, September 26 until Thursday, September 30.

Sunday, September 26
12:00 – 17:00

Monday, September 27
07:00 – 17:00

Tuesday, September 28
07:00 – 17:00

Wednesday, September 29
07:00 – 17:00

Thursday, September 30
07:00 – 15:00


SPEAKER LOUNGE

Next door to the Speaker Centre will be a Speaker Lounge. We invite you to take the opportunity to relax before or after your presentation, and network with your fellow speakers. It will be open at the same hours as the Speaker Centre (noted above).

Meeting Room Technical Set Up

Each Meeting Room will be equipped with:

  • A computer running Microsoft Windows and Microsoft PowerPoint 2007
  • LCD projector and screen
  • Sound system and microphone
  • An Audio-Visual technician will be available to assist with any technical issues that may arise, but will not be able to assist with Presentation-related issues (all speakers are required to check in with the Speaker Centre, at least one day prior to their session)
    Note: Presenters cannot use their own laptops for their presentation as there will be insufficient time to change laptops between presentations.

Internet connections will only be available upon request. If your presentation requires additional Audio-Visual equipment or an Internet connection, please submit a request to executiveassistant@vancouverhypertension2010.com before August 30, 2010.

Registration & Hotel Information


Registration

For each accepted abstract, at least one of the authors must be registered and have fully paid the registration fee. If you have any questions regarding Registration, please email ish2010@seatoskymeetings.com.

Hotel Bookings

There are a limited number of discounted accommodations available at select hotels near the Vancouver Convention Centre. For Official Meeting Hotel information, please visit ISH 2010 Accommodations. The Official Meeting Hotels offer great value, and are a short walk away from the Vancouver Convention Centre and downtown Vancouver.
