The World Rose Festival was for all gardeners and rose enthusiasts to learn about the latest rose varieties from growers and seminar presenters. It was a festival focused on the beauty of the rose and on awarding those who were best able to capture that beauty, in the rose judging competition, in the art show and in the floral design and kids areas. The Convention Centre had just opened, so it was also a chance to kick the tires of Vancouver’s newest convention facility.

I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for the excellent job you have all done for the Rose Convention and Rose Festival. The Sea to Sky team runs like a well-oiled machine and the team’s enthusiasm and professionalism was exemplary! Everyone made our job much easier to do on-site and the support we received throughout the past 4 years has been tremendous. We will never forget our experience of putting on this convention…and we will never forget the staff at Sea to Sky.
