Living in Vancouver, it is easy to brag about our weather, mountains, oceans, and sushi. But is it wrong to say that as fall approaches, and we see reports of snow falling in Calgary, we want to call up Calgarians just to brag about eating sushi on Kits beach?
There is an art to bragging. It is not subtle and it has to be short and sweet. It needs to be true.
This is Sea to Sky’s 2018 Brag Book.
It is not subtle, because we have a lot to brag about.
It is short and sweet, as we have condensed our last 18 years into a few pages. We have also added in some visuals and worked in our key stats.
It is true.
As Sea to Sky’s President and Owner, I invited our team to Harrison Hot Springs Resort last weekend for a retreat. We talked about big stuff, like our goals. We got into specifics, like the complexities of project finances. We solved a murder mystery. We even ate sushi while enjoying the views of Harrison Lake. Most importantly, we spent time together away from the office and enjoyed each other’s company.
I want to brag about Sea to Sky as a company because we are doing good work for our clients. Hence, the Brag Book.
That said, what I really want to brag about is our team. We are really good at what we do. We are intelligent, thoughtful and creative. We are fun to be around. We are an excellent team. And I think that says it all. Not subtle. Short and sweet. True.
